MALABRIGO LIGHTHOUSE series

these series of photographs were taken last summer in malabrigo, a small isolated fishing village in the southern tip of the province of batangas. accessible only through a man-made stairway carved from the rocks, this american era lighthouse is situated on top of a cliff facing verde island. the energy stored by the solar panels during the day automatically power its beckoning light at night time. this probably explains why nobody inhabits the place except for a number of crows that frolic on its barren landscape at dusk.
